How to Meditate: Day 1 Return to the Breath (Mediations for Parents)
In Day 1 of the Meditation Series I walk you through returning to the breath. The most basic but also potentially frustrating part of mediation.
People often think to meditate they must sit quietly and with a clear mind and if they cannot, mediation is not for them. This is false. Mediation is the practice of returning to the breath. Everyone’s mind will wonder repeatedly throughout mediation, even if you only meditate for a few minutes. It is normal. Noticing your mind has wondered and retuning to the breath is building the muscle of mindfulness. This is mediation. Mind wanders, rerun your attention back to the breath, repeat, again and again.
Give it a shot along with me in the video below. Enjoy!
