How to Meditate Day 4
When many people think of meditation, they think of torture. As in, it sounds like torture to sit quietly with my breath. This response is completely normal and understandable. How I counter my own inner cringe at meditation is thinking of sitting on a beach (or wherever maybe peaceful for you). I imagine sitting quietly and just listening to the ocean. I can remember the peaceful feeling from previous vacations. This is experience of “awww,” contentment and ease is one we can bring to our mediation practice with intention.
Enjoy the Breath
This mediation helps us tune in to the calming effect of the breath, similar to ocean waves. We can learn to find parts of sitting quietly that we do enjoy and expand on those pleasant feelings.
Enjoy!
