Mindful Mama Challenge #2 | 10 breaths
Before you get out of bed in the morning, maybe before you even open your eyes, notice and enjoy 10 mindful breaths.
2 long slow deep breaths
Begin by taking two long slow deep breaths. Breathe in as long and slowly as you can filling up your tummy with air. Then breathe out again as long and slowly as you can, emptying your lungs completely.
Now your ready to begin. Let your breath return to normal. Tell yourself “I’m going to focus on my breath and I’ going to begin now.” Our intention is to savor these 10 beautiful breaths as if we were on a beach. Each breath we take relaxing us a bit more.
Notice: How the air feels cool as you breath in your nostrils.
Your chest rising slightly with the in breath.
Your belly slightly filling with air with each in breath.
Your body settling and relaxing with each out breath.
At any time if you mind wonders, (Yes, you can expect your busy mind to wonder even in only 10 breaths).
I hope you have enjoyed 10 restorative breaths. At any time you need to center yourself or regain composure throughout the day, pause and notice your breath. If you have a moment take 10 again.
