Help Starting a Meditation Practice

With mounting stress related to COVID-19 and all its effects now is a beautiful time to begin or revisit a meditation practice.

If you have heard about the many wonderful benefits of meditation you may be considering trying meditation for the first time or trying again to help you in this time of uncertainty and stress. Below are three of my favorite apps which provide support in starting a meditation practice.

Remember meditation is not about sitting it a zen state of silence with a clear mind, although that does sound nice. Meditation is about practicing, over and over and over again, returning from thought back to your breath. If you find it frustrating don't get discouraged. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Especially, during this time of increased stress, racing thoughts is normal. Our minds will race. During meditation you will have a few more moments of present centered mindfulness on the breath and a few less on worries.

Try the apps below and see which fits you best. Enjoy!

I hope you are able to use one of the apps above to get a regular meditation practice started. You will never regret it and will experience benefits for years to come.

Wishing you and your families a safe and healthy day!
